From March 15th to 17th, the China Electric Vehicle Hundred People Forum (2024) was grandly held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. ABB was invited to attend and showcased the latest Formula E racing simulator on site, allowing the audience to experience the lightning speed of electric racing and enter the exciting world of electric transportation.
ABB's deeply customized electric formula simulation driving equipment vividly reproduces the comprehensive experience of electric racing driving, from the real track interface to professional driving posture, sensitive equipment control, and realistic visual experience, allowing test drivers to experience the excellent performance and powerful power of electric formula racing cars from multiple dimensions. At the event, more than 300 spectators, guided by professional racing technicians, enthusiastically experienced simulated racing driving, expressing that it was more satisfying and realistic than racing games.

On May 25-26 this year, the long-awaited world-class electric racing event - ABB FIA Formula E World Championship (FE) - will return to China and make its debut at the Shanghai International Circuit, starting an exciting two round race.
Ten years of witnessing
In 2024. the China Electric Vehicle Hundred People's Association will celebrate its 10th anniversary. The past decade has witnessed the rapid development of electric vehicles in China and globally. The sales of new energy vehicles in China have surged from 75000 in 2014 to 9.5 million in 2023. accounting for over 60% of global production and sales.
From 2014 to 2024. ABB FIA Formula E has also gone through a highly anticipated decade and formed an inseparable bond with China.

Over the past decade, with the iteration and upgrading of racing technology, a new generation of lighter, faster, and more energy-efficient racing cars has raced on the track. ABB has worked closely with the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and Formula E teams to customize and develop compact and safe charging equipment for third-generation racing cars, meeting the special needs of the racing environment.
