Product overview
The ABB 615 series is a series of protection and control products that have undergone partial testing according to relevant standards and meet all specified requirements without any misoperation, malfunction, or electrical damage. This series of products is manufactured by ABB Oy Distribution Solutions, and the relevant testing is approved by ABB Inc. Distribution Solutions and Distribution Automation.
Test object
Main test models include RED615 (order number HBDDFEADNLA1BMD11G), REF615 (order number HBFNAEFCNHA1AQB21G), REG615 (order number HBGDBDADNBA1BFG1G1), and the test results are also applicable to other products in the 615 series.
Basic modules: Each model includes CPU module, power module, binary I/O module, analog input module, LHMI module, communication module, backplane module, etc. The module types and parameters of different models may vary slightly. For example, RED615 uses PSM0004 power module, REF615 uses PSM0003 power module, etc. In addition, type testing was conducted on the IEC LHMI module DIS0012, and since the PCBA of ANSI and IEC LHMI are the same, the test results are also applicable to the ANSI LHMI module DIS0014.
Various test results
Mechanical structure inspection: Marking and mechanical structure comply with IEC 60255-1 and IEC 60255-27 standards; The embedded shell level is IP 54 on the front and IP 10 on the back and connection terminals, in compliance with IEC 60529 standard; The electrical clearance and creepage distance comply with IEC 60255-5 and IEC 60255-27 standards, and the results are both OK.
Overload and input testing: Under rated current, rated voltage and other parameters, the thermal tolerance, dynamic current tolerance, input impedance, load, voltage tolerance, etc. all meet the requirements of IEC 60255-1 and IEC 60255-27 standards. For example, for a rated current of 0.2/1A, the continuous thermal tolerance is 4A, and the 1-second thermal tolerance is 100A.
Power module testing: In terms of auxiliary voltage, PS-H has no effect at 38... 300 VDC, 38... 264 VAC, and PS_L has no effect at 12... 72 VDC; In the voltage drop immunity test, the product can operate normally or restart under different voltage and residual voltage conditions; During the auxiliary power supply voltage interruption test, the product was able to shut down and restart normally; The tests for DC auxiliary voltage ripple, gradual shutdown and startup, and DC power polarity reversal all meet the requirements; At the same time, the power consumption of different power modules is provided.
Contact testing: Different types of contacts (bipolar power output, unipolar power output, signal output, etc.) meet the requirements of IEC 60255-1 and IEEE C37.90-2005 standards in terms of making ability, breaking ability, mechanical tolerance, etc. For example, the bipolar power output continuously carries a current of 8A, and the 3-second turn-on and carrying current are 15A, etc.
Electromagnetic compatibility testing: Pulse interference testing at 1MHz/100kHz, pulse interference testing at 3MHz and other frequencies, electrostatic discharge testing, radio frequency interference testing, surge immunity testing, power frequency magnetic field immunity testing, and other electromagnetic compatibility tests all comply with the requirements of corresponding standards (such as IEC 61000-4 series, IEC 60255-26, etc.).
Insulation testing: dielectric testing, impulse voltage testing, insulation resistance measurement, protective grounding resistance testing, etc., in accordance with the requirements of standards such as IEC 60255-27 and IEEE C37.90-2005. For example, passing the dielectric test under the conditions of 2kV, 50Hz, and 1 minute.
Mechanical testing: vibration testing, impact and collision testing, earthquake testing, mechanical durability testing, etc., in accordance with the Level 2 requirements of standards such as IEC 60068-2 series, IEC 60255-21 series, IEEE C37.90-2005, etc.
Environmental testing: dry heat testing, dry cold testing, wet heat testing, temperature change testing, storage testing, etc., in accordance with the requirements of IEC 60068-2 series, IEEE C37.90-2005 and other standards. For example, the dry heat test passed at+55 º C for 96 hours and+85 º C for 16 hours (some products passed at+70 º C).
