Operator Workplace Operator Workstation Interface
The operator interface is divided into four fixed areas: Application Bar, Display Bar, Display Area, and Status Bar; The application bar and status bar belong to the security protection zone and will not be covered by pop-up windows.
Application Bar (top)
Alarm Band alarm bar: displays the number of unconfirmed alarms, the color represents the highest alarm priority, and one click jumps to the alarm list.
Alarm Line: Display the last 3 process alarms.
System Alarm Band: Summary of internal faults in the control system.
Object Shortcut Tool: Object Search Box; Quick icons can open the graphic screen, panel, trend, and alarm event list of an object with just one click; The dropdown menu provides access to all aspects of the object.
Toolbar: Find Tools, All Process Alerts/Events, System Alerts/Events, System Status, External Alarm Mute, Window Replacement/Retention Policy, Aspect Browser Object Browser, Favorites, Screenshots, Close All Pop ups, Online Help.
Filter: Filter the menu display content by role (process operation, maintenance, engineer, administrator).
Display Bar
Forward/backward browsing history; Aspect History browsing history list; Drop Target targets, drag the object here to open the screen.
Pinning lock function: Lock the screen, backward/forward will not change the current screen content.
Replace/Preserve window strategy: Replace=automatically overwrite old windows with windows of the same type; Preserve=Always create overlapping pop ups.
Target tool, Zoom zoom tool, and print view tool are commonly used for multi screen, block quad, and four part images.
Display Area: mainly displays the process flow diagram screen.
Status Bar (bottom): Operator messages, current logged in user information.
Security and permission functions
Change User: Temporary account switching during workstation operation, audit log recording switching behavior; Only modify system permissions, Windows system account remains unchanged; Support automatic switching to inactive users with restricted permissions after idle timeout. User name background color distinguishes login status: white normal, yellow switching user, gray idle user.
Approval authentication: high-risk operations require re entering account passwords; Support Double Authentication and second operator authorization confirmation.
Point of Control takeover divides the factory into multiple process areas, with only one responsible user having operational authority in that area at a time, to prevent conflicts between simultaneous operations in multiple locations. Three modes:
Request Responsibility: Send a request to the current person in charge, who can accept/reject it.
Grab Responsibility Mandatory Takeover: In emergency situations, users with this permission can directly seize control without the other party's consent.
Release Responsibility: Release control. Provide a Point of Control Summary overview screen to view the current responsible persons for all areas.
Confirmed Write: For SIL safety level AC800M high integrity controllers, modifying parameters/settings will bring up a confirmation dialog box. After checking the objects, properties, and values, confirm the execution.
System navigation operation
Multiple navigation methods to quickly locate device objects:
Forward and backward buttons, browsing history list, favorites, can be configured by user/user group for favorites.
Quick key: CTRL+SHIFT+3-7 to quickly open various alarm event lists; F1 contextual help; CTRL+F to search for objects, etc.
Object Shortcut: Enter the object name to retrieve directly.
Aspect Browser Object Browser: Tree based browsing of factory functional and positional structures to view all objects and their aspects.
Right click context menu: Right click on an object in the flowchart, alarm list, or trend to directly access all available aspects of the object (panels, trends, alarms, notes, etc.).
The Aspect Link link button within the screen redirects to other process screens.

Process Graphics
800xA supports the new generation Process Graphics (PG2) and is compatible with older versions of VB-PG graphics.
Graphic elements: static elements (pipeline background); Dynamic elements represent actual devices, hovering the mouse prompts for object names, left clicking opens the Faceplate panel, and right clicking opens the context menu.
Batch confirmation alarm: Confirm all visible objects in the current screen alarm at once.
Group Display: Simultaneously open multiple device panels; Quad Display is a four part screen with four view partitions, supporting zooming in on any partition for full screen viewing.
Faceplate device panel (operator core interaction window)
Three views: Reduced view, Default standard view, and Extended view (for engineers/senior operators).
Panel composition: Object Lock, Object Name Description, Alarm Control Area; The tab contains interlocks, commands, IO status, parameters, and trend curves; Execute operations in the button area.
Object Lock: Once enabled, only the lock holder can operate the object; When other users lock, the local operation button becomes invalid; The white box around the flowchart object represents being locked.
Signal Faceplate: Used for AI/AO analog measurement points, supports Force forced assignment.
Operator Note: Add a text note (such as "Calibration Completed") to the device object, save it in the object properties, and make it visible to all operators.
Alarms and Events
Alarm: requires operator confirmation, representing an abnormal state; Event event: only records, no need for confirmation (start stop, login, parameter modification). Divided into Process process alarms and System system alarms (DCS software and hardware failures).
Various standard lists: process alarm list, system alarm list; Process event list, system event list. Alarm can be hidden, shelved, or hidden.
Alarm Analysis (authorized option) automatically calculates key alarm KPI indicators and generates chart reports: current number of active alarms, unconfirmed alarms, hourly alarm rate, most frequent alarms, longest duration alarms, average confirmation time, and alarm priority distribution; Used to evaluate the quality of alarm systems and eliminate alarm storms. Output bar charts, pie charts, and rate trend charts.
Alarm Grouping (Feature Pack): Multiple alarms are merged into one alarm group, reducing the number of alarm list entries; Confirming group alarms will simultaneously confirm all alarms within the group.
Alarm Band alarm bar, Alarm Sequence Bar alarm sequence bar; Alarm Logger Manager manages alarm logs.
AC800M controller status monitoring and diagnostic information viewing.
Trends trend curve
Trend display layout: Trend drawing area, top toolbar, bottom toolbar, Item point list, Trend Table numerical table; Support vertical/horizontal ruler reading of time values.
Function: XY Plot XY Scatter Plot; Data filtering; Configure custom Operator Trend operator trend screen; Support printing trend views; Right click menu to configure curve properties.
Reports Reports
View pre configured reports and support printing reports; The report content is pre configured by the engineering phase, and the operator only browses and outputs it.
SFC Viewer Sequential Function Chart Viewer
Used to view the logic of SFC sequential control program (batch, interlocking, sequential control), only monitored by the operator and cannot be modified.
Structure Diagram, Zoom Zoom, Jump Labels, Subsequence.
Force Block Transition (when authorized); SFC Debug debugging mode; Security permission control; View Transition conversion conditions and Action actions; Object navigation.
SMS and E-mail message notifications
System alarm/event triggering, automatic sending of SMS and email; Support GSM device confirmation messages; View the message event log.
