Product basic positioning and scope of application

1. Product model and part number

Model: DIN-825-4P0

Only compatible controller: Linghua ADLINK AMP-204C (4-axis), AMP-208C (8-axis) pulse type motion control card; It is strictly prohibited to use it in conjunction with other sports control cards

2. Core purpose

As an adapter terminal board, it enables signal wiring between pulse command servo/stepper drivers and AMP series motion cards, compatible with mainstream Japanese and Taiwanese servos (Mitsubishi J3/J4, Yaskawa Sigma II/III/V, Panasonic MINAS A4/A5, Delta A2, etc.).


Definition and functional description of all onboard interfaces

There are 10 types of external connectors on the board, divided into five categories: main control, servo specific, universal IO, laser/trigger/brake, and power emergency stop. The functions of each interface are as follows:

P1 (SCSI 100Pin): motherboard core interface, connected to AMP sports card, carrying all 4-axis motion closed-loop signals (pulse, direction, encoder feedback, limit, servo enable, alarm, origin, trigger, axis specific IO)

CMP1~CMP4 (4-channel 26Pin): 4-axis servo dedicated interface, directly connected to various servo drivers, integrating a complete set of servo signals such as pulse, direction, encoder, servo enable, alarm, positioning, brake, reset, 24V power supply, etc; Can be paired with a single-sided open circuit universal cable to adapt to various brands of servos

CN1 (9Pin): Laser control dedicated interface, carrying 4-axis digital output, two-way trigger differential signal, digital ground

J1/J2 (2-channel 10 pin screw terminals): 4-axis isolated limit/origin/axis exclusive input/output, including positive and negative limit PEL/MEL, origin ORG, axis EDI isolated input, DO output common terminal; Input public DICOM requires 24V connection, output public DOCOM connected to 24V ground IGND

J3 (5Pin): Two differential trigger signals TRG output terminal

J4 (9Pin): Positive and negative output terminals for the Bra brake signal of the 4-axis motor

J5 (5Pin): External 24V main power supply+emergency stop EMG input interface, providing I24V, IGND, IO common terminal, emergency stop signal

J6 (5Pin): 4-channel isolated digital output EDO terminal, compatible with 24V system

P2 (DSUB37Pin): Onboard TTL universal IO, 16 TTL inputs TDI1~16, 16 TTL outputs TDO1~16, built-in onboard+5V power supply and digital ground DGND

IOIF1~IOIF4 (4-channel 9-pin screw terminals): Extended isolation IO

IOIF1/2: A total of 16 isolated digital inputs DI1~DI16, with terminals equipped with DIO24V external 24V power supply

IOIF3/4: A total of 16 isolated digital outputs DO1~DO16, with terminals equipped with DIOGND external 24V ground; The output adopts MOSFET circuit, with a maximum single channel current of 250mA, which can drive solenoid valves and high-power actuators


Dial switches S1 and S2 function

Two sets of dialing codes, S1 and S2, are used on the board to switch the ALM-RST pin function of the CMP interface:

ON: The pin function of this channel is servo alarm reset signal (default OFF)

OFF: This channel is a universal digital output DO

S1 controls 1/2 axis, S2 controls 3/4 axis, and the four axes switch modes independently.

Key points of signal allocation for each interface pin

1. P1 (100Pin main card interface, 4-axis closed-loop motion core)

Group according to axes 1 to 4, with a unified signal architecture for each axis:

Pulse direction differential output: OUTx+/OUTx - (pulse), DIRx+/DIRx - (direction), supports pulse/direction or CW/CCW dual pulse mode, differential 26LS31 drive

Encoder differential feedback: EAx ± (A-phase), EBx ± (B-phase), EZx ± (Z-origin phase); Differential common mode voltage range ± 7V, minimum input differential voltage difference of 0.2V, maximum support for 5MHz encoding frequency

Servo control output: SVONx (servo enable), TRGx ± (position comparison triggers differential pulse), EDOx (axis specific digital output)

External input signals: ALMx (servo alarm), ORGx (origin), PELx (positive limit), MELx (negative limit), ZSPx (zero speed detection), EDIx (axis specific isolation input)

Global signal: DGND digital ground, IEMG global emergency stop input, a large number of reserved pins Rsv

2. CMP servo 26Pin interface (single axis servo complete interaction)

Single axis integrated servo complete hardware signal:

Output: SVON servo enable, OUT ± pulse, DIR ± direction, BRAKE ± brake, ALM-RST reset/universal DO

Input: ALM servo alarm, INP in place, RDY servo ready, EZ/EA/EB encoder three-phase differential feedback, EMG emergency stop

Power supply: I24V external 24V, multiple IGND power ground

3. Unified rules for power supply and common terminal

All isolated IOs are divided into two power supply systems:

Axis standard isolation IO (J1/J2/J5/J6/CMP): DICOM connected to I24V (+24V), DOCOM connected to IGND (24V ground)

Expand IOIF isolation IO: DI side common DIO24V connected to external 24V; DO side common DIOGND connected to external 24V ground. When using DO, an external 24V power supply must be connected


Explanation of all signal isolation circuits and wiring schematics

The document provides 11 types of signal internal isolation circuits, all of which use optocoupler isolation (PS2805, PS2802) to achieve electrical isolation between the 5V digital domain of the motion card and external 24V devices, anti-interference:

EMG Global Emergency Stop Input (J5): Recommended for normally closed Class B switches, which block all pulse outputs after triggering and minimize switch load 24V@6mA Optocoupler PS2805 isolation

Limit/Origin/Axis EDI Isolation Input (J1/J2 MEL/PEL/ORG/EDI): Same as the EMG input circuit, one end of the external switch is connected to IGND, the other end is connected to the signal pin, and the common DICOM is connected to 24V

Servo feedback input ALM/INP/ZSP (CMP): optocoupler isolation, servo output collector open circuit signal pulls down IGND trigger input

SVON servo enable output (CMP): PS2802 optocoupler isolation, maximum 35V/90mA driving load

EDO isolated digital output (J6): Same circuit as SVON, single channel maximum 90mA

IOIF Extended DI Input: 2.4K pull-up resistor, PS2805 optocoupler isolation, external 24V power supply

IOIF high-power extended DO: optocoupler+MOSFET composite drive, single channel up to 250mA, suitable for high current loads

Encoder differential feedback EA/EB/EZ: differential receiving circuit, terminal matching resistor RT is required, encoder and control card housing are grounded together

TRG differential trigger output: 26LS31 differential line drive, output position comparison pulse

OUT/DIR pulse differential output: 26LS31 differential drive, warning current should not exceed 20mA, otherwise the chip will burn out; Recommend connecting OUT -/DIR - to servo input and DGND to common ground

CN1 laser triggered output: multiplexing axis 4EDO and two TRG differential signals


Key electrical specifications and usage warnings

Differential pulse output (OUT/DIR): driver chip 26LS31, load current limit of 20mA, exceeding the limit will permanently damage the chip; Default differential mode, software switchable CW/CCW pulse logic

Encoder feedback: Differential to common mode ± 7V, minimum input differential voltage difference 0.2V, maximum 5MHz response, cable length affects upper frequency limit

Digital output graded current

CMP/J6 standard DO/SVON: single channel maximum 90mA, withstand voltage 35V

IOIF Extended Isolation DO: MOSFET High Power, Single Channel Up to 250mA, Suitable for Electromagnetic Valve and Cylinder Drive

Emergency stop EMG logic: Hardware level blocking pulse output, software configurable normally open/normally closed switch, recommended safe normally closed contacts

Mandatory requirement for power supply

All isolated input common DICOM must be externally connected to 24V

All isolated output common terminals DOCOM/DIOGND must be externally connected to 24V ground IGND

IOIF extension DO must be connected to DIO24V 24V power supply to work properly

Product restriction: Only compatible with AMP-204C/AMP-208C pulse type motion control card, cannot be paired with other brands/models of motion cards
