ADLINK PCI-7432 Isolated Digital I/O Acquisition Card

PCI-7432 is a high-density PCI industrial acquisition card with 32 channel isolated digital input and 32 channel isolated digital output. It belongs to the PCI-743X series digital IO product line and is equipped with 2500 VRMS optoelectronic isolation, suitable for industrial strong interference scenarios.

Differentiated channel configurations for multiple isolated digital IO cards in the same series:

PCI-7432/PCI-7432HIR: 32 isolated DI+32 isolated DO (core model in this document)

PCI-7433/PCI-7433HIR: Pure 64 channel isolated digital input; PCI-7433ALC additionally supports 60Hz AC signal detection

PCI-7434: Pure 64 channel isolated digital output

Interrupt function: DI channel 0 and channel 1 can serve as hardware interrupt trigger sources;

Output driving capability: The maximum current for a single isolated output channel is 500mA;

Input adaptation: Wide voltage input, can directly read the switch status of external devices;

Output adaptation: The output power supply range is 5-35V, and it can directly drive the relay coil.


Detailed Electrical Specifications

(1) Isolated digital input DI (32 channels)

Input voltage: Maximum 24V without polarity; Logic high level 5~24V, logic low level 0~1.5V;

Input impedance: single channel 2.4k Ω, power 0.5W;

Isolation withstand voltage: 2500 VRMS;

Circuit structure: collector open circuit transistor structure, supporting two wiring modes of common ground/common power, capable of both current injection and extraction.

(2) Isolated digital output DO (32 channels)

Output device: open collector output of Darlington transistor, current sink type;

Current specification: Single channel 100% duty cycle maximum 500mA; when all channels output simultaneously, only 20% duty cycle is allowed, single channel 500mA;

Power consumption: Every 8 channels of DO form a group of chips, with a maximum power consumption of 2.25W per chip;

External power supply range: 5~35V; isolation withstand voltage of 2500 VRMS;

Inductive load requirements: Inductive loads such as relays and motor coils must be connected to external VDD power pins.

(4) Pin Definition Explanation

IDI-n: nth isolated digital input; IDO-n: nth isolated digital output;

VDDm: Output group common power supply pin (divided into multiple groups VDD1/VDD2/VDD3, etc.);

IGND: Isolation output circuit dedicated ground; COM1/COM2/COM3/COM4: Input group common terminal;

V5V: Onboard built-in 5V power output; NC: Empty pins have no function.

Complete steps for hardware installation

Turn off the power, open the computer case, select a vacant white/beige short PCI slot, and remove the baffle;

Anti static operation: Remove the board from the anti-static bag to prevent static electricity from penetrating the chip;

Insert PCI-7432 into the PCI slot and secure the screws to prevent the board from loosening or being damaged;

Connect a 100 pin SCSI cable, with one end connected to the metal interface of the board and the other end connected to the DIN terminal board;

Close the chassis and install software drivers after powering on.


Software driver and Medialon control software installation

1. Windows 2000 Driver Installation Process

Installation of supporting driver CD, automatic recognition of new PCI hardware by the boot system;

When the hardware wizard pops up, specify the CD drive (D drive) to load the driver file;

After installation is complete, click "Finish" to use it without restarting the computer;

2. Medialon MxM control software adaptation

Directly select the Adlink PCI-7432 hardware driver module within the software without the need to install additional plugins separately;

Refer to the MxM built-in help documentation for device creation and instruction invocation;

The board is native and fully compatible with Medialon Manager stage control software.


Installation troubleshooting plan

Common problem self check steps

Hardware level: Confirm that the board is fully inserted and the fixing screws are tightened;

Driver level: Verify the complete installation of the driver;

System level: Open Windows Device Manager to check for hardware resource conflicts;

Conflict resolution: Uninstalling device drivers, re identifying and reinstalling after power failure and restart of the entire machine;

Still unable to resolve: Contact Medialon official technical support.
