Product Overview and Core Specifications
PCIe bus: PCIe Gen2 x4 (2.5GT/s), compatible with x4/x8/x16 physical slots.
Network hardware: 4-channel independent Gigabit Ethernet, Intel I210 controller; Supports Jumbo jumbo frames up to 9KB, link aggregation, and hardware IEEE1588-PTP timestamp synchronization; Support multiple cards to run simultaneously on one host.
PoE power supply (IEEE 802.3af)
Standard PoE, with a maximum output of 15.4W per port PSE and 12.95W available on the camera end; output voltage of 44-57V.
Power source:
PCIe slot only power supply: maximum total PoE budget of 20W;
External 4-pin 12V auxiliary power interface: maximum total PoE budget of 60W;
Protection functions: overvoltage OVP (62V), undervoltage UVP (29V), overcurrent hardware protection.
Important differences: PCIe - GIE74V does not have software PoE power management function, cannot software switch single port PoE, cannot read voltage and current of each port, and does not have port priority scheduling. Compared with the old version of GIE74/GIE74-PRO, it has been deleted.
Physical dimensions: 167.6 mm × 64.9 mm (shorter in height than the old GIE74, with thin baffle height, suitable for low rise chassis).
environmental conditions
PoE total power consumption 32W: operating temperature 0~55 ℃;
PoE total power consumption 60W: operating temperature 0~50 ℃;
Humidity 5-90% RH without condensation; Storage -40~85 ℃.
Certification: CE/FCC Class-B, RoHS environmental protection.
Software: Windows system, using Intel I210 driver with ADLINK GigE SDK; Supports C++, C #, VB.net.
Function Deletion List (Compared to the Previous Generation PCIe GIE74 PRO)
❌ No ToE (Trigger over Ethernet) network port trigger;
❌ No onboard 4-channel isolated external DI trigger input;
❌ No SHA256 hardware license for EEPROM encryption;
❌ No software for PoE power budget management, port priority, single port PoE on/off control, voltage and current reading.
Hardware Interface Description
4 x RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports (A)
Simultaneous transmission of image data+PoE power supply, compatible with direct/crossover Ethernet cables.
LED1: Speed indicator light; LED2: Link/data activity indicator light.
LED1: Off -10Mbps; Green -100Mbps; Yellow -1000Mbps.
LED2: Off - no link; Evergreen - Link connection; Blinking green - data transmission and reception.
CN2:4-pin 12V auxiliary power interface (B)
Pin: 1-GND, 2-GND, 3-+12V, 4-+12V.
Function: Increases the total output power of PoE to 60W; only supplies power to PoE cameras, and the power supply of the board itself still comes from the PCIe slot. This interface does not supply the main circuit of the board.
This product does not have a 6-pin power interface, an external trigger DI socket, a Card ID dip switch, or a PoE hardware dip switch SW3, which is different from the previous generation GIE7x series hardware layout.
Hardware installation steps
Open box inspection: The accessories include PCIe GIE74V card body, quick start guide, and anti-static operation.
Turn off the computer, open the chassis, insert the card into the idle PCIe x4/x8/x16 slot, and tighten the baffle screw.
If the total power consumption of 4 cameras using PoE at the same time exceeds 20W, a 4-pin external 12V auxiliary power supply must be connected.
Insert the GigE camera cable into the RJ-45 Ethernet port.
Power on and start up; Install the official Intel I210 network card driver and ADLINK GigE visual SDK.
Cannot directly use the Windows system's built-in universal network card driver, must install the card matching driver package.

PoE protection mechanism
Overvoltage OVP: Automatically cut off PoE output when output>62V.
Undervoltage UVP: Cut off PoE output when output<29V.
Hardware overcurrent protection: Short circuit/overload directly shuts off port power supply.
Note: There is no software configurable over temperature protection threshold and no port priority; If the power exceeds the budget, the software will not automatically reduce the power. If it exceeds the rated total power, it will trigger hardware protection and power outage.
Safety precautions
The disassembly and assembly of hardware must be completely powered off; The maximum output voltage of PoE is 57V, be careful to prevent electric shock.
PoE function is limited to indoor use only and outdoor deployment is prohibited.
The temperature of the heat sink during board operation is relatively high. Avoid direct contact with metal heat dissipation components to prevent burns.
The equipment is prohibited from entering water and high humidity environments; Do not disassemble or repair on your own; Incorrect replacement of lithium batteries poses a risk of explosion.
