The nameplate contains information on power, voltage, current, protection level IP55, working mode, brake voltage VB, and manual release device.
3.2 Arrival acceptance, handling and hoisting
Upon receiving the goods and inspecting for any transportation damage, immediately notify the carrier of the damage; Verify that the nameplate parameters are consistent with the purchase order.
Machine base BXN100/MXN30, BX100/MX3 and above specifications are equipped with lifting rings. The lifting rings are only used for lifting the motor body and cannot be lifted together with the reducer.
Place the flange motor properly to prevent slipping and rolling.
3.3 Storage and Preservation
Prohibit outdoor storage and avoid high humidity environments; Wooden boards are placed at the bottom of the motor to isolate moisture from the ground.
Storage>60 days: Apply rust inhibitor (Mobilarma 248 or equivalent) to the mating surfaces of flanges, shaft extensions, etc.
Storage>6 months: manually rotate the rotor every 1-2 months; Continuously ensure moisture and rust prevention.
3.4 Key points for installation and operation of the whole machine
Remove the plastic protective cap on the transport shaft end; Solvent should be used to remove the anti rust coating on the shaft extension, and it is strictly prohibited for solvents to come into contact with the oil seal lip.
Ensure proper heat dissipation and ventilation of the motor, leave sufficient space around the fan cover, and do not block the air duct; Reserve space for maintenance and repair. Outdoor installation should be well protected from sun and rain.
Assembly of motor and reducer flange: The key must be reliably fixed in the keyway; Apply anti seize agent (Loctite 767 equivalent) on the surface of the shaft to prevent micro corrosion and facilitate later disassembly; It is recommended to disassemble, clean, and reapply every 6-12 months.
The flange bolts must be securely fastened; Cover nameplates, breathable plugs, and machined surfaces before painting operations.
After installing the brake motor, remove the manual release handle to prevent accidental operation.
3.5 Dynamic Balance Requirements
The rotor adopts half key dynamic balancing; The assembly of external transmission components needs to be rebalanced; The dual axis extension model requires that unused flat keys be securely fixed to prevent them from being thrown out.
3.6 Insulation resistance testing
Before long-term storage, shutdown and restart, measure the insulation to ground with a 500V DC megohmmeter; The insulation resistance of the new winding at 25 ℃ should be greater than 10M Ω; if the resistance is insufficient, it needs to be dried in an oven to remove internal moisture.

Electrical wiring
Strictly follow the internal wiring diagram of the junction box for wiring; Must be reliably grounded first; In the shutdown state, the brake and anti condensation heater terminals may still be energized.
4.1 Winding connection method
Single speed motor: triangle Δ, star Y connection.
Dual speed motor: Daland single winding dual speed, two sets of independent winding dual speed, corresponding wiring schematic provided in the manual.
EVOX (BXN/MXN/MNN) series individual wiring specifications.
4.2 Anti condensation heater
The heater is independently powered; The heater power must be disconnected when the motor is running.
4.3 Cooling System
The standard cooling IC411 comes with a built-in radial fan that rotates in both directions; Leave a ventilation distance between the fan cover and the wall.
Optional independent power supply forced air cooling IC416 (axial flow fan), PS rear extension version cannot be equipped with forced air cooling; The manual is accompanied by a table of voltage, power, and current parameters for the forced fans of each machine base.
4.4 Steering
L1-L2-L3 is connected to U-V-W, and the motor rotates clockwise when viewed from the output shaft end; Swap two phases to reverse; The nameplate of the unidirectional rotating motor indicates the phase.
4.5 FD brake wiring (DC brake)
Provide 4 wiring schemes A/B/C/D:
A: Take the brake power supply from the motor terminal and disconnect the AC main circuit; Implement delayed shutdown, suitable for soft start stop.
B: The brake coil is independently powered, disconnecting the AC main circuit, and the shutdown time is not affected by the motor time constant.
C: Take power from the motor terminals and cut off the AC+DC circuit at the same time.
D: The brake is independently powered and the AC+DC circuit is cut off at the same time.
The brake belongs to inductive load, and the main circuit contactor uses AC-3 type contacts.
4.6 FDD high-performance brake wiring
Suitable for frequency converter applications; Provide three types of wiring: A/B/C, including NR ordinary rectification and SR fast rectification module with overexcitation; Attached is a large voltage adaptation comparison table, which matches the equivalent power supply voltage SA of the brake with different grid voltages and motor winding Δ/Y connections.
Use DC-13 grade contacts to cut off the DC circuit.
Start Debugging (START-UP)
Confirm that all safety measures are in place before starting:
No load rated voltage power on;
Confirm that the external forced cooling fan is operating normally;
Confirm that the motor runs smoothly without any abnormal vibration or noise;
Confirm that the brake motor operates normally;
No abnormalities found during no-load operation, reload and monitor current, voltage, and power.
If overcurrent, overheating, abnormal noise, or vibration occur, immediately cut off the power and stop the machine for maintenance.
Maintenance and upkeep
Before all maintenance, completely cut off the main and auxiliary circuits and perform anti misoperation measures.
Regular inspection items
The running sound is stable, and the current does not exceed the rated value on the nameplate;
Brake motor: Check the brake air gap T and manual release gap X;
The motor body and fan cover have no dust accumulation blocking the heat dissipation duct;
Oil seal sealing status; Tightening of cables and wiring terminals;
Regularly open the condensate drain hole for drainage, and place the drain hole at the lowest position of the machine during installation;
Bearings: They are filled with grease for life after leaving the factory, and generally do not require grease supplementation; Suggest evaluating and replacing bearings for about 3 years; Ordinary inspection does not require disassembling the motor.
6.1 FD DC brake air gap adjustment
Loosen the locking nut, adjust the screw to adjust the air gap T, and control it within the minimum/maximum limit of the sample;
Locking screws and nuts; Regular retesting;
Excessive air gap can generate noise, prevent complete release of brakes, and reduce braking torque;
The minimum thickness of the friction plate shall not be less than 1.5 mm; the manual release clearance X must be greater than the specified minimum value.
6.2 FDD brake air gap adjustment
Rotate the sleeve bolt CW to increase the air gap and CCW to decrease the air gap; 1/6 turn changes the air gap by approximately 0.15mm; Strictly control the dimensions of T and X; The thickness of the friction lining cannot be lower than the minimum thickness specified in the table.
Excessive brake air gap is the most common fault point for brake weakness, abnormal noise, and dragging and heating.
Disassembly, Recycling, and Waste Disposal
The motor contains ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and electronic components; Do not mix household waste. Classify, dismantle and recycle according to EU Directive 2012/19/EU and local regulations.
