ABB F360 X Residual current operated circuit-breakers (RCCB)
Product overview
Type: Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker (RCCB), belonging to the STOTZ series, models include F 362 X (2-pole) and F 364 X (4-pole), rated currents of 80A and 100A, and rated residual current of 30mA.
Core functions:
Detect AC fault current, with surge resistance of 250A (8/20 μ s waveform) and 200A (0.5 μ s/100kHz circular wave).
Provide indirect contact (protection against electric shock), direct contact (additional protection), and electrical fire protection (when residual current ≤ 300mA).
Working principle: The residual current is detected by a balanced transformer with a permanent magnet release. When the current exceeds the rated value, the circuit is quickly cut off with a response time of ≤ 200ms (1.1 times the rated residual current).
Technical Parameter
Standard IEC 1008, EN 61008, BS 4293
2 poles and 4 poles
Rated voltage 230/400V (AC)
Frequency 50-60Hz
Rated short-circuit current 6000A (independent); When combined with upstream gL 100A fuses or S 700 E 100 circuit breakers, it can reach 10kA
Protection level IP20 (regular), IP40 when installed on the distribution board
Environmental temperature -25 ° C to+55 ° C
Connecting wires of 1.5-25mm ², multiple thin wires require connectors or cable lugs
Mechanical lifespan of at least 5000 switch cycles
Weight: F 362 X about 0.28kg, F 364 X about 0.43kg
Installation and operation
Installation requirements:
Operated by authorized personnel, installed with DIN rail (EN 50022, 35mm) snap fasteners, supporting any direction.
When connecting aluminum wires, it is necessary to clean the contact surface, apply grease, and re tighten the terminals after 6-8 weeks.
When a 4-pole circuit breaker is used as a 2-pole circuit breaker, terminals 5 and 7 (or 6 and 8) need to be connected. When there is no neutral wire in a three-phase circuit, terminals 4 and 8 need to be bridged.
Operational testing:
Press the test button every month, and the circuit breaker should trip immediately (the operating lever should jump from "I" to "0").
It is necessary to regularly test the effectiveness of protection and verify that the grounding resistance meets the standard (such as 833 Ω corresponding to a maximum contact voltage of 25V at 30mA).
Maintenance precautions:
Clean with soapy water and a damp cloth. Do not use corrosive cleaning agents or solvents.
When there is a malfunction, check the insulation of the downstream circuit and do not disassemble it by yourself, otherwise the warranty will be lost.
Application scenarios
Residential and commercial buildings: As an additional protection for socket circuits and residual current protection for main circuits, it complies with mandatory safety regulations.
Industrial and energy sectors: suitable for scenarios with high requirements for electric shock and electrical fire protection, such as factory power distribution and renewable energy systems.
Special circuit: Can be combined with miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) for single-phase or three-phase distribution systems, supporting bus bar connections (such as SZ-PSB series bus modules).
Accessories and Selection
Busbar module: used for horizontal connection of multi pole circuit breakers, such as SZ-PSB 53 N (2-pole, 10mm ², 213mm long), SZ-PSB 61 N (4-pole, 10mm ², 213mm long).
Terminal cover and shield: Provides IP20/IP55 protection level, such as PCD series terminal cover and QES insulated housing.
Installation guide rail: DSW series modular guide rail, supporting 2-6 modules (17.5mm/module).
Safety and Compliance
Anti electric shock protection: Compliant with DIN VDE 0106 Part 100, protection is achieved through system grounding configurations such as TN-S, TN-C-S, TT, IT, etc.
Warranty and Responsibility: Provide warranty according to standard sales terms, and raise quality objections in writing within 8 days after arrival.
Technical update: Document parameters may change, and the latest version shall prevail. We do not assume responsibility for the old version.
Brand and Series Expansion
Brand Background: ABB STOTZ-KONTAKT is a subsidiary of ABB Group, specializing in electrical installation systems and providing modular solutions such as System Pro M and System Connect.
Series comparison: F 360 X belongs to AC type RCCB, suitable for sinusoidal AC fault current; Type A/B products (such as F 370/F 804) are compatible with pulsating DC and pure DC residual current.
