System Overview
KONGSBERG BWMS is a bridge duty safety monitoring system used to monitor the status of the bridge duty, and to raise alarms step by step when there is no one/disabled.
Complies with IMO MCS.128 (75) BNWAS performance standards and meets the requirements of single person bridge operation class symbols.
Adopting standard modules and software to adapt to all ship types.
Core functions
Centralized alarm: The central panel of the driver's cab provides sound and light alarms and receives signals from the core navigation equipment on the cab.
On duty monitoring: detect unmanned or disabled operators on the bridge at regular intervals.
Automatic alarm forwarding: When the bridge alarm does not respond, the alarm will be automatically sent to the captain's cabin, public areas, and crew cabins.
Manual alarm forwarding: The alarm can be manually triggered to call the captain and backup duty personnel.
Operation and Settings
Console panel functions:
System power on/off, timer adjustment (all password protected)
Sound and light alarm indication, silencing, and alarm confirmation
Backup crew selection, backup crew call
System configuration:
Pre installed KONGSBERG Maritime software, set up through MOS operator station
Can define the number of crew members, alarm descriptions, and alarm group descriptions without the need for specialized debugging tools
