Touch screen parameters
Type: Analog resistive thin-film glass touch, 12 bit USB controller; No physical buttons, no LED indicator lights.
Effective touch area: 304.1 × 228.1 mm.
Important reminder: Touch calibration data is saved in the backend IPC, not in the TAE panel body; After replacing the display panel or backend IPC, the touch must be recalibrated.
Support automatic display recognition, requiring both IPC and panel support; When not supported, BIOS/operating system manual resolution setting is required.
Electrical and Power Supply
Power supply source: completely from S-DVI composite cable (24V DC), no additional power input required.
Voltage range: DC+18V to+30V (UL certification requires Class 2).
24V typical power consumption: 825mA (excluding external USB peripherals).
North American UL usage restrictions:
0-20 V: maximum 5 A; 20-60 V: maximum power 100 W; power supply must be NRTL certified.
S-DVI cable ordering length: 0.3 m/2 m/3 m/5 m/10 m/15 m; S-DVI interface does not support hot plugging, and live plugging will damage hardware.
Interface definition
Front panel (3-channel USB-A V1.1)
X5/X6/X7, Used for connecting USB flash drives, mice, and keyboards.
Mutual exclusion restriction: The backplane USB X3 cannot be used simultaneously with the front panel X5, as they share internal channels.
backplane interface
X1/X2: CAN bus interface (Weidm ü ller 8-pole RM3.5mm), two CAN channels can be connected in series hand in hand; The pins include CAN-H, CAN-L, GND, and+24V.
X3: USB-A V1.1 backplane USB port.
X4:26 pin HD DSUB S DVI composite interface: integrates DVI video, USB signal, CAN bus,+24V power supply, and is the only main interface of this device.
DIP dip switch (8-bit) is used for CAN bus configuration.
DIP switch function
Switch purpose
SW1-4 CAN station address (0-15, up to 16 nodes per CAN, addresses cannot be duplicated)
SW5-6 CAN baud rate (615k/500k/250k/125k, the longer the cable, the lower the baud rate)
SW7 PS/2 master-slave mode, the entire system can only set one Master
SW8 CAN terminal resistance 150 Ω; The terminal resistors must be turned on for devices at both ends of the bus

Environmental conditions and protection level
Temperature: working from 0 to+50 ℃; Storage -20~+60 ℃.
Humidity 20-95%, condensation is prohibited.
Impact resistance EN 60068-2-27:150 m/s ². EMC complies with EN 61000-6-2 for industrial environments.
Protection level (directly related to installation form)
Cabinet installation with sealing kit: front panel IP54, back panel IP20;
Without sealing: the whole machine is IP20;
The cable outlet facing downwards can achieve IP43.
NEMA standard: Type 12/Type 1.
Mechanical installation
Two types of installation holes:
Y-hole position: Installation of control cabinet panel openings; Accessory number 12-209-021, compatible with steel plate thickness of 1.0-3.0mm; sponge sealing rubber strip is placed in the back plate groove.
X-hole position: Installation of swing arm rocker arm.
The length of screws must be strictly selected according to specifications to prevent damage to internal components; Provide complete external dimension drawings.
Grounding: The backplane grounding terminal must be reliably connected to the cabinet grounding strip to ensure EMC and ESD anti-static protection.
Cable, shielding, and ESD anti-static measures
The CAN bus must use shielded twisted pair cables; S-DVI uses original factory finished cables.
The CAN shielding layer requires a large area of low impedance grounding; The S-DVI shielding is grounded through the DSUB connector, provided that the equipment backplane is reliably grounded.
Most USB peripherals are unshielded and are highly susceptible to ESD electrostatic interference; Before plugging or unplugging USB devices, the operator should release static electricity from their body.
BIOS settings: The keyboard must be directly plugged into the USB port and cannot be accessed through the USB-Hub, otherwise the BIOS configuration will be abnormal; Third party USB peripherals need to be tested for compatibility on-site in advance.
Touch screen cleaning and chemical resistance characteristics
Before cleaning, be sure to turn off the power to avoid accidental triggering of the operation.
Prohibit corrosive and abrasive cleaning agents; Spray the cleaning agent onto a soft cloth and do not directly spray it onto the equipment casing to prevent liquid from seeping into the gaps.
Touch panel tolerance: common media such as alcohol, acetone, gasoline, engine oil, vinegar, detergents, lipstick, alcohol, etc;
Suggest finger operation to extend the lifespan of the touch screen and regular cleaning.
Internal schematic diagram
S-DVI input is divided into multiple channels: DVI video receiver drives LCD screen; S-DVI to USB Hub expands the front/back panel USB ports; CAN controller handles CAN bus DIP configuration; Backlight control and contrast adjustment are controlled by the back-end S-DVI signal.
