Working principle

When the industrial automation control system is running, when the PLC, DCS and other control systems issue digital control instructions, the instructions are transmitted to the ABB 3BSE020510R1 DO801 digital output module through the communication interface. After the module receives the instruction, the internal microprocessor parses and processes the instruction, and controls the corresponding output channel according to the instruction requirements.

For channels that require high-level (24V) output, the microprocessor controls the transistor to conduct, connecting the channel to a 24V power supply, thereby outputting a 24V DC signal to drive external devices to operate; For channels that require outputting a low level (0V), the microprocessor controls the transistor to turn off, disconnecting the channel from the 24V power supply and outputting a 0V signal, causing the external device to stop working.

During the entire process, the diagnostic circuit inside the module monitors the working status of each output channel in real time. Once abnormal conditions such as short circuit and overload are detected, the protection mechanism is immediately triggered to cut off the output of the corresponding channel, and the fault information is fed back to the control system through the communication interface for timely troubleshooting and handling.
