Key issues
What must be done to install ACH550 on an IT power distribution system, and what are the consequences if not done?
Answer: The EMC filter screws of the corresponding frame must be removed (R1~R4 remove EM1, R5~R6 remove F1/F2). If not removed, the internal EMC capacitor will connect the IT system to ground, causing leakage, grounding faults, equipment damage, and losing the safety advantage of not grounding the IT system.
What is the automatic switching function of the ACH550 bypass model (E-Clipse) and what are the triggering conditions?
Answer: Auto Transfer refers to the system switching to bypass power frequency operation without disturbance when the drive fails. The triggering condition is the occurrence of overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating, communication loss and other protective shutdowns in the drive, and the parameter 1608 enables automatic switching to ensure continuous operation of the fan/water pump.
What mandatory checks must be completed before powering on ACH550, and what are the most dangerous missed checks?
Answer: It is necessary to check: ① Motor insulation ≥ 1M Ω (1kV DC); ② Input voltage matching; ③ Separation of power/control lines; ④ The EMC filtering settings are correct; ⑤ There are no metal shavings inside the machine. The most dangerous missed detection is when the motor insulation is not tested, and insulation damage can directly lead to output short circuit, machine explosion, and personal electric shock.
