II SYNCHROTACT ® 5 Host Hardware

1. Scope of application

Automatic synchronization and grid connection of generators to the power grid;

Automatic parallel connection between synchronous/asynchronous transmission lines and busbars;

Synchrocheck: Monitor manual/automatic grid connection, support dead bus (no voltage bus) closing permission.

If the voltage, frequency, and phase do not meet the conditions for closing, it will cause line faults, generator overload, and serious damage to the generator equipment.

Typical application scenarios:

Only synchronous verification is performed between two lines;

Synchronous monitoring of manual grid connection of generators;

Generator fully automatic voltage regulation, frequency regulation, and grid connection;

By using SYN5500 to switch attachments, one host can synchronize two circuit breakers.

2. Working principle (four major functional modules)

Measurement module: Collect system side U1 and standby side U2, calculate voltage difference Δ U, slip s (frequency difference), phase difference α;

Matching regulation module: Output regulation pulses to AVR voltage regulator and GV speed controller to reduce voltage and frequency differences;

Grid connection condition monitoring: Δ U, slip s, phase angle α all meet the set threshold at the same time, and output CHK RELEASE closing permission;

Generation of closing command: Considering the inherent closing delay of the circuit breaker, calculate the lead angle α v; When the phase reaches the leading angle and the closing permission is valid, output the closing COMMAND; During long-term steady-state synchronization, if the conditions continue to hold during the monitoring time, the circuit breaker will be directly output for closing.

Simultaneous inspection mode: Only enable measurement+condition monitoring, do not output voltage and frequency modulation pulses, only output closing permission relay contacts.

Selection Key Points

Dual channel: The software and hardware architecture is completely different, and the probability of two channels failing simultaneously is extremely low, avoiding significant losses due to grid errors;

SYN5302 integrates two complete dual channel systems into the same chassis, eliminating the need for additional cabinets and wiring engineering;

This version does not have the IEC61850 option and only supports Modbus RTU, Profibus DP, and LON buses.

4. Parameter set mechanism

The 7-parameter set model stores 7 sets of complete independent synchronous fixed values, and selects the corresponding synchronous point through DI digital input. The software binds parameters and circuit breakers to prevent mismatched fixed values.

4. SYN5T66-0001 single-phase adaptation/compensation PT (voltage transformer)

Applicable scenarios:

PT secondary voltage exceeds the input range of 50-130VAC;

The amplitude of the secondary voltage of PT on both sides is inconsistent;

The step-up transformers Yd1/Yd11 cause an inherent phase shift of ± 30 ° and require phase compensation.

Attention: SYN5100, SYN5202, and SYN5302 cannot compensate for phase shift through software and must rely on external compensation PT.
