Product Positioning

PCIe-GIE7x is a PCIe x4 specification GigE Vision PoE+image acquisition card, which is divided into two basic models: 2-channel (GIE72) and 4-channel (GIE74), with various derivative standard versions and Pro professional versions; Each independent gigabit network port, with a single channel bandwidth of 1Gbps, provides power to industrial cameras through IEEE802.3at PoE+, enabling one-stop image acquisition and camera power supply, simplifying machine vision wiring.

Universal standard features for all models

1. Bus: PCIe v2.1 x4, speed 2.5GT/s, compatible with x4/x8/x16 motherboard slots; The Ethernet chip is Intel I210.

2. Network port power supply: IEEE802.3at PoE+, single port up to 30W output (50~57V), automatic recognition of PoE (af)/PoE+(at)/non PoE cameras; Support graded detection of PD devices.

Complete technical specifications for PoE power supply

1. Differences between PoE and PoE+standards

-PoE (802.3af): The maximum output of the PSE is 15.4W, and the device can use 12.95W with a maximum current of 350mA;

-Poe+(802.3at): The maximum output of the PSE is 30W, and the device can use 25.5W with a maximum current of 600mA (standard for this card).

2. Multi level hardware protection mechanism

-Voltage protection: Automatically cut off port power supply when the output is below 29V (UVP) and above 62V (OVP);

-Graded overcurrent protection: Set different cut-off currents Icut according to PD device Class0-4, and immediately cut off power in case of short circuit/overload;

-Overheating OTP protection: default high temperature threshold of 130 ℃ (power off), low temperature recovery of 90 ℃, software can customize the range of 80-130 ℃/70-120 ℃;

3. Power scheduling logic

-Automatic power budget switching: The upper limit of the overall power is automatically switched based on whether a 4/6-pin external power supply is connected or not.

Differentiation of onboard hardware components

1. PCIe-GIE74 (4-port) PCB: dual RJ45 (4 network ports in total), 4-pin power supply CN3, 6-pin power supply CN4, trigger input terminal, PoE status LED, 4-digit Card ID dip code SW1, 2-digit PoE main switch SW3, back temperature sensor;

2. PCIe-GIE72 (2-port) PCB: single set RJ45 (2-port), other components are the same as the 4-port version.

1. RJ45 Ethernet port

8-core Ethernet cable simultaneously transmits gigabit data and PoE power supply; Dual LED indicator lights: LED1 displays speed (green=100M, yellow=1000M, off=10M), LED2 links/data (constantly lit connected, flashing with data transmission);

2.4Pin 12V external power supply (CN3): Pin 1+12V, Pin 2/3 GND, Pin 4+5V;

3.6Pin 12V external power supply (CN4): 1-pin+12V, 2/3/6-pin GND, 4-pin+5V, 5-pin detection pin;

4. Card ID DIP code SW1 (4-digit DIP)

Default all ON (ID=15), 4-digit dialing binary combination can configure 16 card addresses from 0 to 15, and multi card system distinguishes devices; ON=1、OFF=0;

5. PoE global DIP SW3 (2-digit DIP)

-Dial 1: ON=globally disable all PoE power supply, OFF=enable PoE (default);

-Dial code 2: ON=PoE is turned off by default when powered on, OFF=PoE is automatically turned on when powered on (default).



Quick Installation Guide

Open box checklist

Package includes: PCIe GIE7x collection card body, quick start guide; There may be differences in OEM customized version accessories. Please check the outer packaging for damage before receiving the goods, and contact the dealer immediately if there is any damage.

Hardware installation steps

1. Turn off the power, remove the chassis cover, and find a free PCIe x4/x8/x16 slot;

2. Remove the chassis cover and smoothly insert the acquisition card vertically into the PCIe slot, pressing it into place;

3. Fix the baffle with screws;

4. To achieve full power PoE, connect a 4-pin/6-pin Molex 12V external power cord;

5. Connect the GigE Vision camera to an RJ45 Ethernet cable;

6. Power on and go to the official website of Linghua/Intel to download and install the Intel I210 network card driver.

Important safety regulations

1. Before operation, the entire machine must be powered off, the power cord must be removed, and power must be turned off for disassembling and assembling boards, opening covers, and maintenance;

2. The onboard heat sink is at high temperature and should not be touched directly after operation to prevent burns;

3. The device is only allowed for indoor deployment and PoE power supply does not support outdoor use;

4. Keep away from liquid, high temperature, and high humidity environments, ensure ventilation, and prohibit blocking the heat dissipation area;

5. Built in lithium battery, there is a risk of explosion if the model is replaced incorrectly, and the waste battery is recycled in compliance with regulations;

6. Only authorized maintenance personnel from Linghua are allowed to repair the malfunction, and users are prohibited from disassembling and repairing it themselves.
