Product Overview and Core Features
The PXES-2314T complies with the PXI-5 hardware specifications and is a 4-slot PXI Express hybrid peripheral chassis. It is connected to external Windows 10 hosts through dual Thunderbolt 3 Type-C interfaces and does not require a built-in system controller, making it suitable for portable testing and measurement scenarios.

When the A power button is connected to the lightning port of the host, the power button of the chassis will be locked; To unlock, the host needs to be turned off and the lightning cable needs to be unplugged; Reserved 2pin interface on the base plate, supporting external remote control on/off;

Definition of LED indicator lights

Backboard temperature sensor
There are a total of 8 temperature sensors distributed on the backboard. ChassisWatch reads the temperature of all points, and the automatic speed control logic of the fan takes the highest temperature reading from all sensors as the control basis.

Packing list, hardware installation, and power on/off sequence
2.1 Packaging Content
Standard configuration: PXES-2314T chassis, DC input terminal block;
The kit needs to be ordered separately: certified Thunderbolt 3 cable, 160W AC-DC adapter, power cord, zip ties.
Thunderbolt 3 certified cables must be used, regular USB-C cables cannot work.
2.2 Hardware Installation
Insert the PXI/PXIe module into slots 2-5, tighten the locking buckle and panel screws; Install baffle/windshield module in idle slot;
The chassis should be placed horizontally, with a ventilation space of ≥ 101.6mm reserved on both sides;
Connect to DC power adapter; Lightning cable connects the chassis to the Windows 10 host.
Strict power on/off sequence (critical, incorrect operation will result in blue screen BSOD)
Power-on sequence
Lightning cable connects the chassis to the host; Connect other lightning peripherals as needed;
Connect the DC power adapter;
Press the power button on the chassis to turn on the device;
Start the Windows 10 host;
Set PXES-2314T to always allow connections in the host lightning management software;
Important: PXES-2314T needs to be the first device connected to the host lightning port. Hot swappable modules and lightning cables are prohibited.
Shutdown sequence
Shut down the Windows host;
Unplug the Thunderbolt 3 cable;
Press the power button on the chassis to turn off the chassis.
Not following the order can easily lead to Windows blue screens and kernel crashes.
Software Resources
Software packages need to be installed on the connected Windows host

Chassis status: reading of various DC voltages, 8 backplane temperature points, and fan speed;
Smart Fan: In AUTO mode, when the temperature is below 25 ℃, the fan duty cycle is 40%; Start accelerating when the temperature exceeds 25 ℃; The maximum target temperature is 70 ℃, and the fan is at 100% full speed; The target temperature parameter software can be configured;

Troubleshooting FAQ and Maintenance (Appendix A)
Common troubleshooting
System unable to power on: Confirm that the DC power supply is intact; Attention: When the lightning cable is connected to the powered on host, the power button of the chassis is locked and the button is invalid, which is a normal phenomenon;
Power LED flashing: abnormal power rail voltage;
Fan LED flashing: Fan obstructed or faulty;
Temperature LED flashing: Check if the ventilation gap and baffle are properly installed; Confirm that the air duct is not blocked;
Windows Blue Screen BSOD: The vast majority comes from hot swappable Thunderbolt cables/modules, or drivers that do not support hot swappable; Strict adherence to the on/off sequence is required; The trigger driver can be located through Windows dump+WinCB.
High frequency FAQ focus
Minimum requirements for running PXES-2314T system: Windows 10 host with native Thunderbolt 3 interface, certified Thunderbolt 3 cable, DC power adapter;
Ordinary USB-C cables cannot replace Thunderbolt 3 certified cables;
The original PXI/PXIe module driver can be used without modification, but when the module driver does not support hot plugging, live plugging is strictly prohibited.

Handling and using chassis handles; The whole machine weighs 3.8kg to prevent collision and damage;
Power off and disconnect DC input before maintenance; Wipe the outer shell with a clean soft cloth, focusing on cleaning the dust at the air inlet;
Power supply: Use 9-32V DC power supply, do not use overload power supply circuit;
Internal maintenance of the chassis is only allowed to be carried out by authorized technicians.
Safety instructions
Indoor use only; The highest working altitude is 2000m;
The DC power supply must be disconnected when disassembling the chassis and plugging in or unplugging the wiring terminals;
Stay away from liquids, high temperatures and humidity; Cannot block ventilation holes;
Built in lithium battery, there is a risk of explosion if the wrong model is replaced; Compliant disposal of waste batteries;
The temperature of the chassis shell is high after operation, which poses a risk of burns. It should be touched after cooling down;
The power cord/DC terminal is damaged, liquid enters, falls and impacts, and must be inspected by an authorized service provider authorized by Linghua.
