Product Overview

1900/65A is a universal device monitoring instrument under Baker Hughes' Cordant series. Its core value is to achieve low-cost continuous monitoring and protection of devices in multiple industries and application scenarios. Configuration information is permanently stored in non-volatile memory and supports independent operation or integration with DCS/SCADA/PLC systems. The document version is 173401 Rev. AC.


Input interface (8 channels in total, 4 sensors+4 temperatures)

1. Sensor input (Ch1-Ch4)

The software can be configured as 6 types of channels, all supporting 2/3 wire sensors, with an input impedance of 10k Ω in 3-wire voltage mode. The core parameters for each type are as follows:

Each channel can continuously calculate up to 4 variables, supporting peak/RMS and metric/imperial unit switching. The acceleration channel can also apply envelope algorithm.  

2. Temperature input (Ch5-Ch8)

Compatible with E/J/K/T thermocouples and 2/3 wire RTDs, only one temperature variable is processed per channel, core parameters:

Filtering: 50Hz 1st order low-pass analog filtering, 50/60Hz digital notch filtering (attenuation ≥ 100dB)

Full range: Thermocouples E (-200~1000 ℃), J (-210~1200 ℃), K (-200~1370 ℃), T (-200~400 ℃); 100Pt a=0.00385 RTD (-200~850℃)

Accuracy: Typical ± 1 ℃ for thermocouples at 25 ℃, maximum ± 2.5 ℃ for temperatures above -100 ℃, and maximum ± 5 ℃ for temperatures below -100 ℃; 3-wire RTD (excluding 10 Ω Cu) ± 1.5 ℃+0.5% full range

Input impedance: thermocouple>1M Ω


Output interface

Relay output: There are a total of 6 channels, single pole double throw (SPDT), supporting programming logic (AND/OR, etc., up to 50 operands per relay) based on channel/variable OK/Alt/Ranger states. It can be configured with latch/non latch, constant excitation/constant loss, and normally open/normally closed. Contact parameters:

DC: maximum 5A, 60Vdc, 70W at 24Vdc; AC: maximum 5A, 30Vac, 150VA

Contact life: 100000 times at 250Vac/5A, 200000 times at 24Vdc/1A

Recorder output: 4 channels of 4-20mA, configurable for any channel/variable data, proportional to full scale, with an accuracy of 2% within the operating temperature range, an update rate of 100ms, a loop power supply of 18-36Vdc, and a maximum loop resistance of 600 Ω.

Buffer output: Monitoring modules Ch1-Ch4 each have one dedicated buffer output, display module has one comprehensive buffer output, no gain/scaling, short circuit+EMI protection, output impedance is 550 Ω, bandwidth is directly connected to 40kHz, 75 meter cable 8kHz.

Communication output: optional Modbus gateway, RS232/485 supporting Ethernet and software configuration, providing static variables, status, event list and other data. Models without gateway can be upgraded through 1900/01.

Core functions and operations

Configuration method: Download configuration files through 1900 Configuration software (laptop/PC) Ethernet, supporting offline configuration, firmware upgrade, troubleshooting, and online modification of bypass mode and settings.

Display module: optional accessories, with backlit LCD and keyboard, can view channel information, make minor configuration modifications, installed up to 75 meters (250 feet) away, supports independent device operation.

Alarm and delay: divided into three levels of OK/Alert/Ranger status, position/vibration input delay of 0.1-60s, temperature/speed input delay of 1-60s, and adjustment resolution of 0.1s for all.

Special input: Inhibit/Reset/Trip Multiply, both short circuit activated (≤ 50k Ω) and open circuit deactivated (≥ 500k Ω):

Prohibit: Block Alert/Ranger status; Trip Multiply: Increase the alarm setting value

Reset: Reset all latch alarms and relays, support Modbus remote reset

Sensor power supply: Short circuit protection, 2-wire current mode 3.3mA ± 5% (open circuit voltage 21-24Vdc); 3-wire voltage mode -23.47~-24.02VDC (maximum rated current 15mA).

Power supply: Main power supply 18-36Vdc, typical working current 0.35A, power 8.5W, maximum 1A, 14W; Optional external power supply of 110-220Vac/50-60Hz.

Monitoring module: 196.9 × 149.4 × 74.4mm (7.75 × 5.88 × 2.93in), 0.77kg (1.70lb)

Display module: 196.9 × 149.4 × 32.8mm (7.75 × 5.88 × 1.29in), 0.40kg (0.89lb)

Indicator light: The monitoring module includes an OK status LED; The display module includes OK/Alt/Angel/Bypass/Trip Multiply/channel activation LEDs.

Installation method: Supports 35mm DIN rail, compartment mounting plate, NEMA 4X/IP66 fiberglass housing, and also provides 1900/55 replacement kit.

Environmental parameters:

Temperature: Operating at -20~+70 ℃ (-4~+158 ℉), Storage at -30~+90 ℃ (-22~+194 ℉)**

Humidity: 95% non condensing (maximum) for both operation and storage


Certification and Compatibility

Compliance certification: FCC Part15、EMC(EN 61000-6-2/4)、ATEX(EN 60079-0/15)、RoHS、ABS 2009  Ship regulations, etc.

Hazardous Area Adaptation: Certified as Class I Zone 2/Div 2 (A/B/C/D groups), T4 temperature rating (-20~+70 ℃), does not support Class 1 Div 1 installation, but can be connected to Div 1 sensors through isolators/safety barriers.

Sensor compatibility: default compatible with Bently Nevada series sensors (such as 330400 accelerometer, 330500 speedometer, 3300 proximity system), supports user configuration of other brands of sensors.

Order code: 1900/65A-AA-BB-CC-DD-EE, corresponding to power/display/installation/certification/communication options, such as communication option 01 for Modbus and display option 01 for attached display (no cable).

Communication upgrade: 1900/01, supports new/replacement license/software only three types, communication option 01 is Modbus.
