Product Introduction and Interface Definition

1. Product purpose and structure

CP78xx is an industrial grade control panel used in mechanical and factory automation scenarios; Aluminum alloy body, integrated TFT display screen, optional touch screen/touchpad, optional thin film keyboard; Fix it through the back mounting hole or optional mounting bracket. Prohibited from use in explosive hazardous areas.

2. Three major interfaces (all IP67 waterproof connectors)

The back of the device is equipped with three sets of standard interfaces X101, X102, and X103, including detailed pin definitions:

X101 (DVI interface, 19 pin M16): Pure DVI-D digital video interface, used for transmitting industrial computer video signals;

X102 (power interface, 4-pin M12): power interface, pin defined as pin 1+24V, pin 3 grounded, and pins 2/4 empty;

X103 (USB interface, 5-pin M9): USB 1.1 interface, maximum transmission speed of 12Mbps, used for communication with industrial computers.

3. Grounding and supporting cables

Protective grounding: The rear of the aircraft is equipped with grounding bolts, which require low resistance and reliable grounding;

Supporting cable kit:

C9900-K514: 3-meter DVI cable+3-meter USB cable set;

C9900-K516: 5-meter DVI cable+5-meter USB cable set;

The equipment comes standard with a power connector when it leaves the factory.

Installation specifications (transportation, unpacking, assembly, wiring)

1. Transportation and unpacking

Transportation: The equipment is resistant to vibration but not to severe impact, and must be packaged in its original form; Transportation in environments with large temperature differences is prone to condensation, and it needs to be allowed to stand at room temperature. If condensation occurs, wait for 12 hours before powering on.

Unboxing steps: Keep the original packaging for secondary handling; Check the list of goods; Retain supporting documents; Check the appearance for transportation damage. If there are any problems, immediately contact Beifu after-sales service.

2. Assembly

Provide the installation dimensions of the entire machine (unit: mm), distinguishing different machine sizes such as keyless, function key, numeric key, and full character keyboard.

3. Wiring rules (strong safety requirements+wiring sequence)

Taboo: It is prohibited to plug or unplug cables in explosion-proof areas; Do not plug or unplug connectors during thunderstorms; It is strictly prohibited to pull or tug on cables. Hand held connectors are required for operation; Before wiring, be sure to disconnect the main power supply of the industrial computer.

Standard wiring process: Turn off the industrial computer → Disconnect the main power supply → Connect all cables in sequence and tighten the connectors → Restore power supply after completion.

Ensure reliable connection of protective grounding throughout the process.

Operation and usage instructions

1. Power on/off rules

The panel does not have an independent power switch, and it starts when powered on;

It is strictly prohibited to power off the software directly while it is running: the device is equipped with a CF card for storage, and the software continues to read and write data. Forcefully turning off the power can cause file damage and data loss;

Permission management: Some accounts do not have shutdown permissions, and unauthorized power outages can easily cause malfunctions.

2. Button and touch operation specifications

Thin film keyboard: can only be operated with fingertips, touch pen or hard object pressing is prohibited;

Touch screen/touchpad: can be used with fingertips or a dedicated stylus; When operating with gloves, the gloves must not contain hard particles such as metal debris and glass shards.

3. Key Function Description

Covering the full range of commonly used button functions: directional keys Home/End/PageUp/PageDown、Tab、Enter、Shift、Caps Lock、Ctrl、Alt、Esc、 Function keys F1~F12, etc; The system button can trigger the Windows Start menu and Property Panel; The function keys and panel exclusive special key functions are defined by the supporting software, and the status is indicated by the screen edge prompt and orange LED indicator light.

Maintenance, emergency response, and disposal

1. Daily cleaning

Clean the front of the panel with a soft damp cloth after power failure; Prohibit the use of corrosive cleaning agents, diluents, and hard cleaning tools to prevent scratching of equipment.

2. Equipment maintenance

The product is designed to be maintenance free and does not require regular maintenance.

3. Emergency response

When a fire occurs, use dry powder fire extinguishers or nitrogen gas to extinguish the fire.

4. Scrap disposal

Complete machine disassembly: metal shell for metal recycling;

Electronic components such as circuit boards and lighting fixtures are strictly disposed of in accordance with local electronic waste regulations.

Troubleshooting (Symptoms, Causes, and Solutions)

The manual specifies common faults, causes, and solutions, and also states that pixel defects in TFT display screens are a normal production phenomenon and do not accept related complaints.

The whole machine has no response: abnormal power supply/loose cables → check the power supply and rewire, if the fault persists, contact Beifu after-sales service;

Industrial control computer cannot fully start: there is a floppy disk in the floppy drive → remove the floppy disk and retry, contact after-sales for other faults;

System startup but abnormal control function: software or external device failure → Contact device/software manufacturer;

Soft drive read/write error: damaged floppy disk or drive failure → replace floppy disk, contact after-sales service for drive failure;

Abnormal function, black screen/flashing screen: Hardware damage inside the panel → Contact Beifu after-sales service.

Power supply: DC 24V (rated range 20.4~28.8VDC);

Power consumption: 6.5 inches about 10W, 12 inches about 14W, 15 inches about 25W, 19 inches about 32W;
