Eaton's xEnergy Safety Ci fully insulated distribution enclosure is a standardized distribution system designed to meet the stringent requirements of the low-voltage distribution field. It is Eaton's leading global distribution solution, with the core design concept of full insulation, modularity, and high protection. It provides the full process economy and convenience from planning, assembly to integration, while ensuring the highest safety standards for personnel and equipment. It is suitable for various conventional and extremely harsh distribution environments, supporting a maximum rated operating current of 1600 A. The full series includes nearly 500 coordinated supporting products.


Core Materials and Structural Design

Main material: Made of high-quality polycarbonate, it has excellent mechanical impact resistance, corrosion resistance, and smoke resistance. It has also passed UV resistance testing (ISO 4892-2500h) and corrosion resistance testing (IEC 60068-2-30 cyclic wet heat, IEC 60068-2-11 salt spray).

Full insulation design: The core safety feature is full insulation protection, which generates no contact voltage and avoids voltage conduction to other components of the system. This protection feature is lossless, maintenance free, and far safer than conventional protection measures such as grounding.

Special design of cover plate: The cover plate is equipped with 4 spring type accessories. In case of extreme switch arc, the cover plate will automatically lift a few millimeters to relieve pressure, and immediately close after pressure relief, without losing its protective function throughout the process; The cover plate can be selected as transparent smoked or opaque, with some parts equipped with integrated cylindrical locks. The transparent version can quickly check the operation status of the internal switch equipment, and the cover plate closing bolt has an "on/off" display and can be sealed with lead.

Sealing and Protection: Embedded foam sealing components are used to ensure stable protection levels, which are not affected by the operator's operational meticulousness; The distribution system is based on a 25mm grid with a stable load-bearing frame profile and a sturdy structure.

The product adopts a highly modular design, covering the vast majority of conventional application scenarios with only 5 shell sizes and 4 installation depths. It is also divided into three core product types, with complete basic and installation accessories:

Product Types

Standard distribution enclosure: The bottom has double-sided openings that support vertical cable insertion, saving installation time. The vertical side panel can be knocked off to achieve horizontal wiring, and wiring is achieved through flanges with metric pre punched holes or cable accessories of different specifications.

Distribution enclosure with cable accessories: integrates specialized cable accessories on the basis of the standard model, compatible with Ci23/Ci43/Ci44/Ci48 models.

Independent shell: divided into E-type (can be spliced, transparent/opaque cover plate, can be knocked off on any side for wiring, can be converted into a distribution shell, reducing inventory demand) and X-type (independent use, no punching on the side panel, smooth surface without dust accumulation and dead corners, suitable for mechanical manufacturing and photovoltaic small control systems).

Supporting Accessories

The entire series provides a complete set of supporting components, including bases, transparent/opaque cover plates, installation plates of different thicknesses (1.5/2.0/3/4mm), DIN rails, flange plates, spacers, wall fixed profiles/brackets, hinges, etc. It is also equipped with wedge-shaped insulation connectors to achieve interconnection between enclosures, and KSK plug-in terminal technology supports quick wiring of 4mm ² cables.

Core Performance and Security Indicators (Key Bold)

The product complies with the IEC/EN 61439-2 low-voltage switchgear standard, with the following core performance and safety indicators:

Protection level: The overall shell reaches IP65, which can resist 6 core hazards including dust, moisture, water, corrosive substances, mechanical impact, and extreme short circuit;

Mechanical performance: Passed the IK10 impact test (IK09 for side walls and flange inserts), it can withstand the lifting of 4 columns of floor standing distribution boards with supporting frames and an additional weight of 500kg;

Thermal performance: hot wire test - base 960 ℃, cover plate 850 ℃, busbar bracket 960 ℃, barrier 650 ℃;

Electrical safety: protection level 2, fully insulated design; Dielectric strength 1000 VAC/1500 VDC; Adapt to 8kV impulse voltage, Level 3 pollution, and Class III overvoltage for creepage distance and electrical clearance; The maximum short-circuit withstand current under rated conditions is 50 kA, and the maximum peak withstand current is 105 kA;

Busbar system: Integrated SASY 60i busbar system, supporting 3-5 poles, maximum 630 A, busbar bracket spacing ≤ 375mm (50 systems)/≤ 290mm (60 systems), compatible with Eaton standardized accessories.

Configurable components: digital RCD, MCB, isolation switch, circuit breaker, fuse, motor protection device, contactor, relay, transformer, etc;

Automatic linkage: The installation board, shell, and switch parameters are linked, and modifying one item automatically updates others;

Document output: Automatically generate material lists, single line diagrams, installation instructions, technical manuals, and support importing DXF vector graphics into CAE systems;
