Redundancy design and system compatibility

(1) Redundant design details

Redundancy support: AI/AO/DI/DO cards support 1:1 redundancy, and the redundant terminal blocks are wired the same as the single terminal blocks, without the need for additional wiring;

Switching mechanism: When the main card fails, it automatically switches to the backup card with a switching time of less than 5ms. The analog signal transitions without disturbance, and the digital device continues to be powered on;

Fault handling: Hardware alarms are automatically reported to the system event log, and the faulty card can be replaced in the safe area. The new backup card is automatically debugged and activated.

(2) System compatibility

Controller adaptation: SQ/SX controllers are required, and a single controller can support up to 8 I/O carriers;

Software requirements: The Plus series cards (AI Plus/AO Plus/DI Plus/DO Plus) require DeltaV v13.3 or higher version;

Cross series compatibility: v11.3.1 and above versions support S series and M series controllers sharing the same network, and control modules can be allocated across controllers;

Installation restrictions: The S series only supports horizontal carriers and is not compatible with the M series carriers. It needs to be used in conjunction with the corresponding series controller.
