Redundancy design and system compatibility

(1) Redundant design details

Redundancy support: AI/AO/DI/DO cards support 1:1 redundancy, and the redundant terminal blocks are wired the same as the single terminal blocks, without the need for additional wiring;

Switching mechanism: When the main card fails, it automatically switches to the backup card. When the analog output signal switches, the dual card drive is less than 5ms, and the digital device maintains power supply without interruption;

Fault handling: Hardware alarms are automatically reported to the system, and the faulty card can be replaced in a safe area. The new backup card is automatically debugged and activated.

(2) System compatibility

Controller adaptation: MQ/MX/PK controllers are required, and M series and S series controllers can be networked together in v11.3.1 and above versions;

Software requirements: The Plus series cards (AI Plus/AO Plus/DI Plus/DO Plus) require DeltaV v13.3.1 or higher version;

Terminal block compatibility: supports standard, fuse, redundant, and large number of terminal blocks, can adapt to Phoenix third-party wiring solutions and Pepperl+Fuchs safety barriers;

Installation restrictions: The M-series horizontal carrier is not compatible with the S-series carrier and needs to be used in conjunction with the corresponding series controller.
