Product positioning: ibaPADU-S-IT-16 is the core central unit of the ibaPADU-S series modular system, which adopts a backplane expansion design and can be matched with up to 4 I/O modules. It is suitable for industrial measurement data acquisition, signal preprocessing, local control, and layered automation systems, and supports independent operation or collaborative work with ibaPDA/ibaLogic.
Version and Certification: The manual version is Issue 1.11 (January 2021), the device complies with CE standards and FCC Part 15 Class A specifications, order number 10.124012, and the minimum firmware requirement is V02.05.001.

Core Functions
Data collection: 8 digital inputs support a maximum sampling rate of 40kHz, and can be configured with 5 anti shake filtering modes (off, rising edge stretching, falling edge stretching, double edge stretching, double edge delay). The filtering time can be adjusted from 1-65535 µ s.
Cascade Expansion: Supports ibaNet 32Mbit Flex protocol, with up to 15 devices forming a ring topology. Device addresses (1-F) can be set by rotating switch S1.
Time synchronization: Supports NTP protocol (Ethernet connection) or DCF77 signal (digital input channel access), optional X30 buffer voltage (9-15V DC) to maintain power-off time.
Local control: Equipped with ibaLogic runtime system, it can load compiled ibaLogic programs to run independently, support automatic startup and persistent image storage.

Installation and disassembly specifications
Installation steps
First, fix the backplate (such as ibaPADU-B4S) onto the mounting plate or DIN rail;
Connect the grounding terminal of the backplane to ensure reliable grounding;
Align ibaPADU-S-IT-16 with the backplate guide hole and insert it, pressing it until it fully adheres;
Tighten the fixing screws on both sides of the device to ensure a stable connection;
Connect the power supply (X14), FO cable (X10/X11), Ethernet/USB cable (if required), and digital input cable (X5) in sequence.
Installation Requirements
Installation method: Vertical installation (relying on passive heat dissipation);
Distance requirement: The distance between adjacent devices should be ≥ 10mm, and a heat dissipation space of ≥ 50mm should be reserved above and below;
Environmental restrictions: working temperature 0-50 ℃, storage temperature -25-70 ℃, humidity level F (no condensation), installation height ≤ 2000m.
Disassembly steps
Turn off the device power switch S11 and disconnect all external cables (power, FO, Ethernet, etc.);
Use a screwdriver to loosen the fixing screws on both sides of the device;
Grasp the front panel of the device, pull it out vertically and detach it from the back panel.

Initial default settings

Configuration Method
Method 1: Web interface configuration (recommended)
Connect the device to the PC (either directly via Ethernet or through a switch), and set the IP address of the same network segment as the device on the PC;
Enter the device IP (default 192.168.1.1) or hostname into the browser, and log in with your account and password;
Configurable items: network parameters (IP/DHCP), time synchronization (NTP/DCF77), password modification, firmware update, ibaLogic startup settings, digital input status viewing.
Method 2: Local configuration (when there is no network)
Restore factory settings: S1=6, S2=9, press and hold S10 to turn on the device, L1 will flash and release, and the device will return to its default configuration after restarting;
Set IP address: S1=F, S2=E. Press and hold S10 to turn on the device. L1 will flash and enter programming mode. Use S1/S2 to set the four octets of the IP (L5-L8 indicates the current configured octet), and press S10 to confirm;
Enable DHCP: S1=F, S2=F, press and hold S10 to power on, release L1 after flashing, and enable DHCP after restarting.
Software Application Configuration
ibaLogic-V4 application
Platform configuration: Start ibaLogic Client, add devices through "Tools Platform Configuration", enter IP/hostname, select device class as PADU-S-IT;
Signal configuration: Open the I/O Configurator, update the hardware, select the digital input channel, configure anti shake filtering (DebType/DebTime), and allocate signals to the input/output;
Program deployment: After compiling the program, store it on the device through "Evaluation Store Program on PMAC" and support automatic startup (enable AutoStart on the "ibaLogic" tab of the web interface);
Data storage: Data can be stored in local memory (default path C: dat) through the DAT_Sile_SRITE function block, and can be downloaded through ibaDatCoordinator.
ibaPDA-V6 application
Device addition: Open the I/O Manager, right-click on the ibaFOB-D link, select "Autodetect" to automatically identify the device, or manually add the "ibaPADU-S-IT-16" module;
Parameter configuration: Set the time base (minimum 1ms) in the "General" tab, and configure the anti shake filter and signal name for the digital input in the "Digital" tab;
Diagnosis and Update: Check the hardware/firmware version on the "Diagnostics" tab, support "Write firmware" to update device firmware, and "Reset to factory defaults" to reset I/O configuration.
