Overall architecture and working principle of the product
1. System composition
The entire RFID system consists of 7 components: RFID card, XE 020/ANT antenna module, XE 020/A processing module, operation panel, coaxial antenna cable, status LED connection line, and module to OP 3xx panel connection line.
2. Recognition performance
Recommended card RI-I02112A-03 as standard, with a typical recognition distance of 40mm when paired with an aluminum front panel.
Recognition successful: The panel LED lights up green for about 3 seconds;
It does not support simultaneous recognition of multiple cards. If multiple cards enter the sensing range, recognition will fail and the LED will turn red.
3. Module appearance interface
XE 020/ANT antenna module: includes coaxial cable interface, LED wiring port, status LED, and model label.
XE 020/A processing module: coaxial cable interface, LED interface, RJ45 interface, address DIP dip switch, model label.
Installation requirements
1. Minimum installation gap for antenna
When installing antenna modules on aluminum panels, it is necessary to strictly follow the prescribed spacing; The cables behind the antenna need to be properly shielded and protected to prevent them from causing antenna misalignment and affecting recognition distance and performance.
2. Requirements for supporting auxiliary materials
Installation requires the use of adhesive backing, isolation film, cover plate, embedded strip and other accessories to ensure stable installation structure and RF performance.
Wiring, cables, and EMC electromagnetic compatibility requirements
1. EMC cabling principles
Electromagnetic interference has the characteristics of sporadic, difficult to reproduce, and high cost of fault location. The core requirements for the wiring of this module are to shield the coaxial cable, module and panel connection lines to avoid interference from the source.
2. Power supply mode
The module is powered by the control panel through RJ45 interface, without the need for an external independent power supply.
3. Interface definition
Status LED interface: 1-pin red LED, 2-pin grounded, 3-pin green LED.
RJ45 interface (module) ↔ Operation panel: 4-pin Data -, 5-pin Data+, 7-pin+12V DC, 8-pin grounded, with the remaining pins vacant.
4. Cable specifications and length limitations
Coaxial antenna cable: maximum length 300mm.
RFID status LED cable: Use a 3-core unshielded cable.
Module and OP 3xx panel connection wire: must be shielded, with a total length of ≤ 1m.

Address configuration (DIP dip switch)
When there are multiple RFID modules in the system, hardware addresses need to be set through DIP dialing on the modules. There are a total of 4 sets of addresses supported, and the factory default address is 14H:

Meaning of Status LED Indication
The LED is located on the front of the operation panel, providing visual feedback on device operation, identification, and fault status
Green light (about 3 seconds): RFID card recognition successful, working normally.
Red light: The card cannot be recognized, the card is damaged, or the permissions are insufficient.
Constant red light: No firmware, hardware startup failure, need to contact the manufacturer.
Constant orange light: not connected to the control system, check the wiring.
Lamp off: The circuit connection is normal and in standby mode.
Start up process: briefly turn red light to orange light when powered on; If the orange light cannot be switched, it is judged as a firmware failure.
Maintenance, repair, and scrapping
Daily maintenance: The equipment is designed to be maintenance free and does not require regular maintenance.
Repair: Only KEBA official technicians can repair it. Non official repairs will void the warranty. Repair requires the use of original factory protective packaging, which is only for internal protection and cannot be directly used as logistics transportation packaging.
Waste disposal: Electronic components must be strictly scrapped in accordance with local regulations and compliance.
