LZS-A1000-3 Power Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Instructions

LZS-A1000-3 is a 24V nominal, 1000W level switching power supply launched by TDK Lambda. It has an input of 85-265VAC/100-380VDC and an adjustable output of 18-29.4V. It has triple protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, and overheating, supports remote control, parallel current sharing, and remote detection. It has passed UL/CSA/IEC 62368-1 and other safety certifications, with a 5-year warranty, and is suitable for industrial embedded scenarios with pollution level 2.


1. Safety regulations and certification

Suitable for pollution level 2 environment, mechanical and fire-resistant enclosures are required for terminal equipment to prevent electric shock and fire risks.

Only professional authorized personnel are allowed to install and operate, and must be reliably grounded and follow electrical wiring specifications.

Safety certification: UL/CSA 62368-1, IEC/EN 62368-1:2014, UL 508.

EMC performance: Conducted/radiated emissions reach Class B, meeting the EN61000 series immunity requirements.

3. Function and Control

Output adjustment: The multi turn potentiometer can adjust the output voltage and overvoltage protection point (20-34V, default 31V).

Status indicator: Green LED=normal output; Red LED=overvoltage/overheating/overcurrent/undervoltage/disabled.

Remote function:

Remote detection: precise voltage stabilization at the load end, with a voltage drop of less than 1.0V.

Remote programming: resistor/external voltage setting output.

Remote start stop: TTL signal control, response<100ms.

Extended operation: Supports multi machine parallel current sharing (error<10%) and series operation.


4. Protection and isolation

Overvoltage protection: adjustable, requires power off or remote control reset after triggering.

Overcurrent protection: current limiting type, 110% -130% rated point action.

Overheating protection: self resetting, automatically recovering after cooling by about * * 10 ℃ * *.

Insulation withstand voltage: Input output 4242VDC; Input - Ground 2121VDC; Output - Ground 500VDC.

6. Key points of application

Use 12-14AWG, 105 ℃ multi strand copper wire for communication input, with a terminal torque of 9in lb.

Use cables with 150% rated load specifications for DC output.

Remote detection requires the removal of local detection jumpers to prevent damage to the equipment.

It is not recommended to run the DC input below 100VDC for more than 1 minute.


Key questions and answers

Question 1: What are the output capabilities and temperature derating rules of this power supply?

Answer: It can output 42A/1008W at 60 ℃; At 70 ℃, it decreased to 25.2A/605W; At 47-63Hz, full load at 30-60 ℃, linear derating at 4%/℃ to 60% at 60-70 ℃; When the frequency exceeds 63Hz, the upper limit of the operating temperature drops to 55 ℃.

Question 2: How to achieve remote start stop control, what are the logic and conditions?

Answer: The OUTPUT ENABLE switch needs to be switched to REMOTE; TTL signal input through D-type port 6-pin (positive) and 7-pin (negative):<0.7V/short circuit/open circuit shutdown output; Turn on the output when the voltage is greater than 2.5V, the current is less than 4mA, the output response is less than 100ms, and the signal is isolated from the main circuit.

Question 3: How to adjust overvoltage protection (OVP) and how to restore it after triggering?

Answer: Adjustment steps: 1) Rotate the OVP potentiometer clockwise to the bottom; 2) No load setting target voltage; 3) Turn counterclockwise slowly until the red light is on to lock. OVP range 20-34V, factory 31V; after triggering, the input power needs to be cut off or switched to remote start stop to restore output.
