Product Overview
This document introduces three mid to high end industrial human-machine interfaces, UniOP ePAD32B, ePAD33B, and ePAD33BT. The products feature aluminum alloy frames, a flat and sturdy body design, a complete button system, and some models can be equipped with touch screens to locate high-performance industrial monitoring and operation terminals. The entire system supports industrial bus and Ethernet expansion, integrating advanced functions such as graphic visualization, data acquisition, and video access. It is suitable for medium and large-scale automation control systems, equipment centralized monitoring, and other scenarios. Relying on the UniOP universal technology system, it has strong functional scalability and equipment compatibility.
Model differentiation and display system
1. Model positioning and screen specifications
The core differences among the three models are concentrated in the display screen configuration, all of which use VGA (640 × 480) standard resolution:
EPAD32B: 9.6-inch monochrome display screen, no video input function, only equipped with physical buttons;
EPAD33B: 10.4-inch TFT color display screen, supporting 64K colors, equipped with video input module, standard physical buttons;
EPAD33B: A 10.4-inch 64K color TFT screen with added resistive touch screen on top of ePAD33B, while retaining full buttons and supporting video input.
2. Graphic display capability
The entire system supports vector graphics, which can achieve multi-layer editing and graphic transparency effects; Support diversified data display such as numbers, text, bar charts, analog instruments, dynamic images, etc., with scalable fonts for strong visual expression. The device comes with a built-in screen saver function, suitable for long-term continuous operation scenarios of industrial equipment.
Hardware parameters, structure, and environmental indicators
1. Electrical parameters
Power supply: Industrial wide voltage DC power supply, 18-30 VDC, standard operating condition is 24 VDC;
Power consumption: Maximum operating current of 0.7 A at 24 VDC;
Circuit protection: Built in automatic fuse to achieve automatic protection against overcurrent and short circuit;
Whole machine weight: approximately 2.3 Kg.
2. Physical dimensions and installation (model 0050)
Panel dimensions: 311 × 276 mm;

Maximum compatible panel thickness: 5mm;
Adopting standard embedded installation, the body structure is sturdy and suitable for integrated installation in industrial control cabinets.
3. Environmental conditions and protection
Working temperature: 0 ℃~45 ℃;
Storage temperature: -20 ℃~+70 ℃;
Temperature and humidity: working/storage humidity 5%~85% RH, no condensation requirements;
Protection level: IP65 front panel, dustproof, anti liquid splash, suitable for complex industrial working conditions;
Electromagnetic compatibility: Complies with EN 61000-6-4 (radiated interference) and EN 61000-6-2 (anti-interference) standards, with excellent resistance to industrial electromagnetic interference.
4. Clock and power supply accessories
The entire series is equipped with a battery backed hardware real-time clock (RTC), paired with a CR2430 (3V/270mA) non rechargeable lithium battery. The battery can be replaced on site and can still maintain normal clock operation even after power failure. The device is equipped with a built-in buzzer, which can provide sound feedback for key operations and touchscreen clicks.

Storage, communication, and expansion capabilities
1. Memory configuration
Unified with 32 MB of built-in user storage space, it can accommodate large capacity configuration projects, multilingual programs, recipe data, trend records, and other content.
2. Core communication capabilities
Dual drive communication: The entire series comes standard with dual drive technology, which can run two sets of communication protocols simultaneously and interface with different types of lower level devices;
Driver library: Built in over 130 types of industrial equipment communication drivers, compatible with mainstream industrial control products such as PLCs, frequency converters, and intelligent instruments;
Network function: Supports UniNet network client/server mode, enabling data sharing among multiple HMIs of the same series, and interfaces with UniNet OPC servers to complete upper level data exchange.
3. Expansion module
The device supports optional plug-in expansion modules:
Industrial bus module: compatible with mainstream fieldbus such as Profibus DP, CANopen, DeviceNet, Interbus, etc;
Ethernet module: It can realize remote program download, trend data, formula data, alarm event transmission to the upper computer, and also supports serial port report printing;
Video input module: Only ePAD33B and ePAD33BT support external video signal access, expanding visual monitoring functions.
Core functional modules
Data Collection and Trend Analysis: Supports data collection and trend curve display. Trend data can be transmitted to the host through Ethernet to meet the needs of production data analysis;
Recipe management: equipped with a 32 KB independent recipe storage area, supporting recipe editing, calling, backup, and remote transmission, suitable for multi process switching production scenarios;
Alarm and Event Recording: Supports 1024 alarm points and 1024 historical event records. Alarm information can be printed or remotely uploaded for easy fault tracing;
Permission management: equipped with eight level password protection, hierarchical control of operation permissions, to prevent illegal tampering of process parameters and system configurations;
Macro editing function: Built in macro editor, capable of recording continuous actions for physical buttons and touch screen operations, simplifying repetitive operations and standardizing workflow;
Multilingual application: The number of languages running is limited by memory, and all texts support Unicode format export, making it easy for multilingual translation and global deployment;
Report printing: It can be connected to a printer through a serial port to freely configure production reports and print them out, meeting the needs of production ledger management.
Supporting software and model selection
1. Configuration software
The entire series is equipped with UniOP Designer 6 programming software, which is powerful and intuitive to operate. It supports project configuration, interface design, program debugging, and parameter configuration, and is an exclusive development tool for this series of devices.
2. Ordering Model Description
EPAD32B-0050: 9.6-inch VGA monochrome panel with buttons, no video input, no touch screen;
EPAD33B -0050: 10.4-inch VGA 64K color screen with buttons, supports video input, no touch screen;
EPAD33BT-0050: 10.4-inch VGA 64K color screen, dual operation of buttons and resistive touch screen, supports video input.
