Product Overview
The M-2001C is a new generation of Beckwith microprocessor based LTC on load voltage regulation controller, suitable for main transformer on load tap changers and substation/single-phase line regulators. It has been fully upgraded based on the M-2001B and is divided into four hardware versions: Comprehensive full function, Base-T transformer specific, Base-RS communication voltage regulation, and Base-R simple voltage regulation. It can be paired with an adapter panel to directly replace old-fashioned voltage regulation devices on the market; Supports 50/60Hz dual standard, with complete voltage regulation, parallel balancing, power acquisition, data storage, multimedia SCADA communication, fault alarm functions, matched with TapTalk configuration and TapPlot analysis two sets of upper software, 5-year warranty for the whole machine, dual US patents, and has passed the full set of power safety certification from cULus, IEC, and ANSI.
Function differentiation of the four major versions (based on core selection criteria)
1. Comprehensive (fully functional)
The most comprehensive functionality, supporting both transformer and regulator scenarios; Dual communication port COM1 (RS232/485/fiber)+COM2 local port, optional RJ45 Ethernet; Supports three parallel connections of circulating current/Δ VAR1/Δ VAR2, sequential/non sequential voltage regulation, two programmable alarms, external gear sensors, SCADA heartbeat, and backup DC power input, suitable for multiple main transformers in parallel and complete remote monitoring scenarios in power plants/substations.
2. Base-T (transformer specific)
Only COM2 local communication port; Supports parallel connection of transformers, sequential/non sequential voltage regulation, two-way alarm, without independent SCADA communication COM1, suitable for local control of a single transformer.
3. Base RS (voltage regulator specific, with SCADA)
COM2 local port+COM1 remote RS485/fiber optic; Only supports sequential voltage regulation, no circulating parallel input, independent alarm contacts, suitable for remote monitoring of voltage regulators in distribution networks.
4. Base-R (simple regulator without remote SCADA)
Only COM2 local port, only sequential voltage regulation, no parallel, alarm, SCADA related functions, only basic voltage regulation, used for local use of small single-phase voltage regulators.
Standard universal voltage regulation setting parameters (standard for all models)

Bandcenter center center voltage: 100~135Vac, 0.1V step;
Bandwidth dead zone: 1~10Vac (maximum 6V for M-2001B, expandable for this model), 0.1V step.
Line voltage drop compensation LDC
R/X independent compensation (± 24V, 1V range), Z total impedance boost compensation (0~24V); Support CT-VT phase compensation of 0 °~330 ° (30 ° first gear) and VT ratio correction of ± 15V.
Voltage regulation delay logic
Timer/inverse time delay 1-120s; interval delay 0-60s (sequential mode with multiple continuous adjustments); Output optional continuous/pulse (pulse 0.2~12s adjustable).
Reverse flow control (distributed photovoltaic reverse adaptation)
Transformer 4 modes: lockout/ignore/return to center/distributed generation; Single phase voltage regulator with 5 modes, supporting reverse independent setting without the need for power side PT.
Voltage protection and voltage reduction function
Independent setting of over/under voltage 95~135Vac; Overvoltage fallback dead zone of 1-4V; three-level independent voltage derating (0-10% reference for each level, with automatic shutdown timer of 1-999min); Hard limit for upper and lower gears.
Overcurrent lockout voltage regulation
Suitable for 0.2A/1A/5A CT, excessive operation of tap changer is prohibited; External hard contacts can forcibly lock automatic voltage regulation.

Three parallel balancing schemes for transformers (supported by Com/Base-T)
Circulation method (standard configuration): equipped with M-0115A parallel balancing module to collect circulation, and multiple main transformers synchronously adjust gears;
Δ VAR1: M-0115A is required, with a balanced reactive power difference;
Δ VAR2: No external balancing module required, only available in parallel scenarios with two transformers;
Tip: Except for Δ VAR2, it is recommended to use M-0127 overcurrent relay for fault protection in other parallel schemes.
