Bently 125800-01 KEYPHASOR I/O Module
DESCRIPTION
125800-01 is a Keyphasor I/O Module developed by Bently Nevada. It is a part of the 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor Module. The monitor modules in a 3500 rack receive Keyphasor signals from a half-height, a two-channel module called a Keyphasor Module. When the Keyphasor mark on the shaft aligns with the Keyphasor transducer, the module detects the alignment using magnetic pickups or proximity probes and converts the input signals into digital Keyphasor signals. For regular setup, the 3500 Machinery Protection System can accept up to four Keyphasor signals, and for paired configuration, it can accept up to eight.
Functional Description
·A key phasor signal, which is produced by a rotating shaft or gear once per turn or several times per turn, can be used to precisely identify timing. As a result, shaft rotative speed and vector characteristics such as 1X vibration amplitude and phase can be measured by 3500 monitor modules and external diagnostic tools.
·The Enhanced Keyphasor Module is an enhanced 3500 system module. It improves on the previous design's Keyphasor signal processing capabilities while maintaining total downward compatibility in terms of shape, fit, and function with current Keyphasor modules for usage in older systems.
·The Keyphasor module, PWA 125792-01, has been totally replaced with the more current 149369-01 module. When a system Keyphasor input is required for Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) applications, the 3500 system should use two Keyphasor modules. In this design, the modules function simultaneously to deliver both a primary and secondary Keyphasor signal to the other modules in the rack.
Features
·A system with more than four Keyphasor inputs may use a paired arrangement as long as there are no more than four major Keyphasor input signals. A paired design necessitates two consecutive monitoring stations in either the upper/lower or both half-slot locations.
·Four Keyphasor modules will accept four primary and four backup input channels and provide four output channels (one per module). A configuration of two paired and one non-paired Keyphasor module (three Keyphasor modules total) is also possible. In such a case, the user can configure the single non-paired Keyphasor (order either two 2-channel or one 1-channel and one 2-channel option)
Characteristics
·Dimensions:24.2 cm x 11.2 cm x 2.5 cm
·Weight:0.38 KG
·Operating Temperature: 0 degrees Celsius to +65 degrees Celsius
·Storage Temperature: -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius
·Humidity: 95%, non-condensing.
Functional features
·Dual-channel design: The module is a half-height dual-channel module capable of processing two phasor signals simultaneously.
·Signal Conversion: Receives input signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups and converts these signals to digital keyed phase signals. The module indicates when the keyed phase markings on the shaft coincide with the keyed phase transducer.
·Wide range of applications: Particularly suitable for use with magnetic pickups as an integral part of machine protection systems.
·Temperature Range: Supports operation over a wide temperature range, specifically -30°C to +65°C (-22°F to +150°F) for use with Keyphasor I/O modules, or 0°C to +65°C (32°F to +150°F) for use with Keyphasor Internal Barrier I/O modules (internal terminals).
Application Scenarios
·Mechanical Vibration Monitoring: This module is typically used to monitor the vibration levels of rotating mechanical equipment to detect potential faults and mechanical problems such as unbalance, misalignment, bearing wear, etc.
·Mechanical Integrity Assessment: By monitoring and analysing vibration data, the integrity of the mechanical system is assessed to ensure the proper operation of the equipment.
·Industrial applications: Widely used in industrial areas such as power plants, oil and gas production, chemical plants, manufacturing industries, etc., for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of equipment.
