For applications requiring faster update rates, the module can be configured to scan a subset of channels more frequently. Isolation Architecture

The DSDP140A provides channel-to-system isolation, meaning that all 16 input channels are collectively isolated from the control system backplane. This is different from channel-to-channel isolation, where each channel is isolated from the others. Because all channels share a common isolation, the loop power supply is common to all channels, which is acceptable when all transmitters are powered from the same source and have the same ground reference. Four-wire transmitters have separate power supply wires and signal output wires.
