GE Intelligent Platforms Marine Industrial PC
GE Intelligent Platforms Marine Industrial PC
DESCRIPTION
GE Intelligent Platforms has developed a rugged, versatile, high-performance Industrial PC specifically for demanding marine applications.
Based on the RXi-XP IPC industrial computing platform, the Marine IPC delivers compact, rugged, high performance computing capabilities. It features a fanless design and extended temperature range for reliable operation in bridge, control room, and machinery room applications. It has been certified by DNV GL, the world’s largest ship and offshore classification society, to comply with marine-grade standards for temperature, humidity, vibration, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
DNV Certification
DNV Class A certification allows the Marine IPC to be used in specified bridge, control room, and machine room applications. DNV certification is an industry-recognized indicator of quality and safety, backed by rigorous testing methods that ensure that shipboard components perform under extreme conditions.
High-Performance Computing
The Marine IPC incorporates the latest technologies to deliver high-performance computing in marine environments. The Marine IPC has 4 GB of ECC RAM, 5 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and industrial grade high-speed SSD storage to complete the high-performance design. The Marine IPC provides additional application flexibility with both mini PCI Express and low profile PCI Express slots.
Rugged, Fanless Design for Marine Environments
The Marine IPC combines high performance with reliability. All aspects of the Marine IPC have been engineered for reliability in harsh shipboard conditions. The Marine IPC features a fanless, solid state design and is constructed from industrial-strength components. The CPU and memory are soldered to the board, boosting reliability and resistance to shock and vibration. Patented heat dissipation technology allows the Marine IPC to perform in extreme temperature conditions.
Modularity for Greater Flexibility & Uptime
The Marine IPC features a rugged, COM Express-based modular architecture designed to extend the useful life of the IPC and future-proof your system. The COM Express module can be upgraded as technology evolves. The wiring and housing remain unchanged, lowering recertification costs and reducing total cost of ownership.
